Pair Cobalt Enameled Decanters
A stately pair of large deep cobalt blue decanters with elegant enamel and gold gilt decorations, oversized elliptical stoppers numbered and matched to the decanters. Large ground pontil. Exceptional original condition. This pair came from an old Vancouver, B.C. collection and were discovered about 60 years ago in a trunk in Glasgow, Scotland by the individual we purchased them from. It is said that they were given as a wedding present in the mid 19th C. and were too nice to be used and hence packed away. Probably of English or continental origin. Decanter alone is 9 5/8" tall, with the stopper 13 3/4" tal.

Clear Blown Cruet
Early free blown clear glass cruet with applied large hollow handle and blown hollow stopper. Nice rough pontil and base wear. We belive the stopper to be original. The very tail of the lower handle attachment was ground and polished at one time, perhaps at the time of making since the stopper base is also ground and polished. It is hard to see how a curl would have chipped off and left such a large tail piece to grind. 8 1/2" tall.

Price: $185
