A small, well proportioned New Hampshire chest-on-chest with interesting carved architectural elements at the cornice and waist. Made of birch with pine secondary wood. Size is 80 1/2" high, upper case 35"wide, lower case 37" wide and 19" deep. Excellent original structural condition with repair of drawer slides from wear. Original brasses and key escutcheons. 18th C New England Tiger Maple Chest
This is a very nice 18th C New England tiger maple chest with two drawers under two false drawers with a lift top. It has very good style and proportions, and is, fortunately, in an excellent state of preservation. It retains its original untouched surface and all but 2 (perhaps 3) of its original brasses. The replacement brasses are of the period. There is one replaced glue block and a small patch to the back of the left rear foot. The size is 35.75” wide, 41.25” tall and 18” deep. It came from an old Midwestern collection.
